In this video, I demonstrate how to re-assemble the Seydel Saxony mouthpiece assembly. If you use this technique, it will go back together quite easily. Note also that the mouthpiece has a slight bow to it. This is by design and insures a tight and snug fit onto the comb.

Remember, the key to a clear and crisp tone on a chromatic is a snug mouthpiece fit. It should be tight enough to prevent air from escaping and yet not so tight as to bind the slide.

A chromatic player's best friend should be a small Phillip's head screwdriver which should be used to frequently adjust the tension screws on the mouthpiece.
